Arie J. Korving, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, has been delivering customized wealth management solutions to his clients for more than three decades. Prior to co-founding Korving & Company, he was First Vice President with a global wealth management firm and held management positions with General Electric. He is a graduate of Michigan Tech, where he earned a degree in Chemistry. Outside of work, Arie enjoys reading and spending time with his wife, Mary, and their two kids and five grandchildren.
Stephen J. Korving, CFP®
Stephen J. Korving, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, has nearly two decades of experience in investment research and management. He began his career at Cambridge Associates, where he analyzed and helped advise multi-billion dollar portfolios for wealthy individuals and institutions, developing first-hand knowledge of portfolio construction and implementation that he still uses today. Stephen began working with local families and foundations as a financial advisor at UBS before co-founding Korving & Company in 2010. He and Arie decided to create Korving & Company upon realizing that they could better serve their clients if they were free of the extra conflicts and fees that are inherent in a massive publicly-traded organization. In 2015, Korving & Company was honored by the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce as the Small Business of the Year for Suffolk, VA. Stephen is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned a degree in Business, with a major in Finance and a concentration in Risk Management. He is active in the community, serving on the board of directors for the Portsmouth Museums Foundation, the Southeast Virginia Community Foundation, the Portsmouth Partnership, LEAD Hampton Roads, and the Portsmouth Assembly. Stephen is a graduate of LEAD Hampton Roads and Vann Lefcoe Leadership Development. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys running, playing or watching sports, being outdoors, working in his yard, cooking and spending time with his wife, Megan, and their three young children.
Ella P. Bourne
Ella P. Bourne, our Administrative Manager, is responsible for all aspects of the Administrative Operations at Korving & Company and is usually the first person our clients encounter when they call or visit. As our "paperwork guru," she plays a central role in assisting clients with opening accounts, wire transfers, and account set-up. Ella has over two decades of experience in the financial services industry. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking (she is a gifted cake baker and makes incredible West Indian food) and spending time with her husband and their two children.
